This „PEX“ series type was developed for use on rotary pulse special machines or installation ones. There is enormous force ensuing from this small size of appliance. The piston travel limits are scanned via built-in electrical limit switches and correspondingly linked up with two separate 5/2 directional magnetic control valves. This external directional control offers manifold possibilities such as reciprocating action or differing fractional pitches. The switch cycle can also be interrupted for other functions. Since there are more control possibilities on special machines, these valves can be integrated into the control box. With these PEX designs all the pistons are fitted with their own compressed air supply. This produces optimum performance averages and leads to the fastest switch times. Via separate one-way restrictors the elevation and interlocking movement can be set to suit the built-up load. These valves or valve combinations can be supplied as an extra on request. The container for the air-oil actuator air/oil, fitted in the secondary side of the drive, regulates hydraulic speed and absorbing over the entire turning area. Whereupon with large load gyrating momentum there is a flawless and consistent movement. This permits there to be an ideal emergency stop function which can be applied not only for reasons of safety but also as a control function. It is indispensable when changing tools between the stations. The mechanical construction of these appliances is very resistant to machining power from any direction. Whereby the fixed ServoPress ball coupling is a guarantee for superlative and consistent precision. This interlocking kind is free from wear and tear, is insensitive to dirt and offers a rigid coupling even under rough assignment conditions. The number of balls is the basic division (GT) in the appliance from which the subsequent number of appliance divisions is taken. Division adjustment with the F-design is done by changing division pins. An adjustable „V“ division design can be supplied on request. Using this the 10 most important divisions can be easily done with a hand wheel. Standard appliances are protected against splashed water. The appliances can be fitted with an additional sealing when being used under flood coolants.
